  • Flag touching face, neck, or mouth

Baseline Shift

  • Compare behavior to their normal state
  • Note sudden energy or demeanor changes
  • Watch for unusual rigidity or calm
  • Track deviations under pressure

Cognitive Load

  • Time longer pauses before answers
  • Watch failure to recall simple details
  • Note word-searching and mental blocking
  • Count fillers like "um" and "uh"

Emotional Leaks

  • Catch sudden anger or defensiveness
  • Note inappropriate laughter or smiling
  • Watch widened eyes and tense jaw
  • Flag attempts to redirect blame
