← all visual guides
Why it matters
Wrapped hands cut injury risk sharply
Stable joints survive repeated impact
A locked wrist prevents sprains
Small prep now extends functional life

Equipment Check

  • Use 180-inch, 4.5-meter hand wraps
  • Confirm a working thumb loop
  • Keep wraps dry and washed regularly
  • Inspect for frays or tears first

Anchor Wrist

  • Thread thumb through the loop
  • Align the wrap across the back of hand
  • Circle the wrist two to three times
  • Build a firm, secured base

Cross Diagonals

  • Run wrap diagonally across hand back
  • Pass between thumb and index finger
  • Keep every diagonal flat and even
  • Return across the wrist each pass

Cover Knuckles

  • Lay wrap flat over the knuckles
  • Keep tension tight, never loose
  • Repeat knuckle passes for full coverage
  • Return to the back of the hand

Lace Fingers

  • Bring wrap between fingers from the top
  • Drop down across the open palm
  • Wrap the palm and circle the wrist
  • Maintain even tension throughout

Reinforce Wrist

  • Circle the wrist two to three more times
  • Run a diagonal return toward the thumb
  • Wrap the base of the thumb
  • Cross back across the wrist

Secure Check

  • Fasten the closure firmly
  • Confirm full knuckle coverage
  • Test circulation before training
  • Make a fist without restriction
