Why it matters
Two surveillance layers expose your home
Specific, credible requests get results
Blurring protects your family from exposure
Permanent blur cannot be undone later

Two Layers

  • Street View shows your home at eye level
  • Satellite view shows it from above
  • Treat each as a separate target
  • Submit one request per layer

Find Property

  • Locate your home on desktop Maps
  • Copy the exact link from the address bar
  • Open both Street and satellite views
  • Confirm the right structure

Capture Evidence

  • Screenshot your home in Street View
  • Screenshot the satellite view too
  • Keep imagery to validate the request
  • Document the exposed angles

Write Justification

  • Be specific and credible
  • Explain the privacy or safety risk
  • Name threats, stalking, or vulnerable people
  • Avoid vague claims that get denied

Blur Street View

  • Open Street View of your home
  • Select report a problem
  • Choose request blurring
  • Submit name, address, link, and reason

Remove Satellite

  • Submit a separate satellite removal request
  • Reference your captured imagery
  • State the unique risk clearly
  • Track the request to completion

Know The Tradeoffs

  • Understand blurring is permanent
  • Accept the blur cannot be reversed
  • Expect satellite removal to differ
  • Reapply if new imagery appears
