Assess & Prepare
- Confirm the anterior dislocation signs

Pendulum Hang
- Bend at the waist near ninety degrees
- Support yourself with the good arm
- Let the injured arm hang straight
- Swing gently in small circles
Traction
- Grip a firm, sturdy anchor
- Hold on with both hands
- Step back and lower your weight
- Keep the injured arm relaxed
External Rotation
- Bend the elbow to ninety degrees
- Keep it close to your side
- Rotate the forearm slowly outward
- Stop at the edge of pain
Abduction
- Raise the arm out sideways
- Lean opposite to assist
- Move slowly and gradually
- Stop at a sharp stretch
Internal Rotation
- Rotate the forearm inward across body
- Imagine tucking into the far pocket
- Move slowly and deliberately
- Feel for the joint slipping in
Confirm Reduction
- Notice sudden pain relief
- Check the shoulder looks normal
- Restore range of movement
- Rest and immobilize afterward
