The Second Location

The moment a hostile tries to move you, your danger rises sharply.

Why it matters
A transfer hands them more control.
Fewer witnesses means less intervention.
More time to coerce or search.
Stay aware, stay mobile, stay free.

The Play

  • Know the second location is anywhere after contact.
  • Watch for vans, stairwells, alleys, private rooms.
  • Recognize the transfer favors the attacker.
  • Treat first contact as the decision point.

Why It Escalates

  • Isolation removes the eyes that protect you.
  • Doors, vehicles, and numbers give them control.
  • Extra time lets them intimidate and reposition.
  • Walls and distance conceal what happens next.

Their Scripts

  • Distrust 'come with me for a minute.'
  • Reject 'let's talk somewhere private.'
  • Ignore claims a friend waits elsewhere.
  • Refuse to step behind any building.

Pre-Transfer Signs

  • Note urgency with no clear reason.
  • Feel for pressure to leave public view.
  • Watch one engage while another flanks.
  • Spot an open door or blocked path nearby.

Deny the Transfer

  • Plant your feet and stop moving with them.
  • Angle out to break their line.
  • Go loud: 'Back off.' 'Call police.'
  • Move toward stores, lobbies, and crowds.

Pick Direction

  • Head toward occupied, well-lit areas.
  • In a lot, move between rows to people.
  • Never go deeper into isolation.
  • Aim at witnesses and a safe destination.
